Rainbow Mountain by ATV, immersing yourself in the vibrant Andean landscape without the challenges of high altitude. Be one of the first to reach the top of Rainbow Mountain, ensuring you have photo opportunities without the crowds. Starting at 4:00 a.m., your adventure begins with a two-hour bus ride to the town of Pitumarca at 3,600 meters above sea level, south of the city of Cusco. After a brief breakfast stop in Pitumarca, continue by bus for another hour and 20 minutes to the starting point of the hike at 6,700 meters above sea level. Start a 45-minute quad bike ride to reach the high point 5050 meters above sea level, offering stunning views of rainbow hues and snow-capped peaks. Take your time to relax, capture stunning photographs and savor the splendor of this extraordinary place. After the ATV ride, return to the starting point of the hike and board the bus back to the town of Pitumarca for a satisfying lunch. Itinerary
- Our adventure begins when we pick you up from your hotel at 4:00am. Then we will drive south along the Pan-American Highway for an hour and a half until we reach the district of Cusipata where we will have breakfast and then we will continue our trip for another half hour passing through Checacupe, Pitumarca, Hanchipacha and then arriving at Kayrahuiri around 9:00am where we will leave the car and continue our adventure on ATVs, first we will do a practice ride for about 20 minutes. Then we continue our route to the Colored Mountain itself for about 30 minutes driving slowly uphill (without running) and around 10:00 we arrive at our destination, the Colored Mountain, where we have 40 minutes to explore the place. Upon our return from Rainbow Mountain we will ride ATVs for another 30 minutes until we reach the parking lot and then we will board our private transportation back to Cusco. Our return trip will take an hour and a half to reach the district of Cusipata, where we will enjoy a buffet lunch at 2:00 p.m. in the assigned restaurant, and then return to Cusco for another hour and a half, where we will make our last stop at Plaza Regocijo in Cusco, where we will say goodbye. If you want to make the most of the day and have more time to enjoy the scenery, we can leave an hour earlier than planned and arrive a little later in the afternoon, please indicate this when booking.
